In recent years, the pace of building in coastal urban advances rapidly, the construction projects in urban area such as high-rise buildings, traffic engineerings, underground city etc. are increasing year by year. However, in the engineering survey, design and construction process, hydro-geological problem has always been a very important matter at the same time a easy one to be ignored. Groundwater will affects the design and construction of the projects severely for its's characteristics. So it has a vital practical significance to understand and evaluate the hydrogeological conditions of shallow groundwater in coastal cities' constructions. In this paper, the hydrogeological conditions of shallow groundwater in coastal cities' constructions was put to be the research object. First of all, I analysed the formation, characteristics of the coastal city of shallow groundwater and characteristics, influencing factors of hydro-geological conditions by collecting of relevant theoretical and practical information and using qualitative analysis method. Then I selected the evaluation factors for evaluation of hydrogeological conditions, established evaluation factors grade level standard and grading classification standard for evaluation. Finally I build the network for the evaluation studies for the hydrogeological conditions of shallow groundwater in coastal cities' constructions with the improved BP algorithm. In this paper, I adopted BP neural network method to build the model for the evaluation of the hydrogeological conditions of shallow groundwater in coastal cities' constructions. Due to the weight of each factor was automatically created by the network in accordance with the factors and objectives of the inherent relationship, the model solved the problem of over-reliance on subjective factors in a preferable way, alleviated the interference of the man-made factors and improved the reliability of evaluation. Therefore the study of this paper will play a guiding role in evaluating the hydrogeological conditions of shallow groundwater in coastal cities' constructions in our country to some extent.
