Seismic exploration technology with rapid development, accordingly, a wide range of seismic interpretation and the resulting technology appeared. For the majority of geological and geophysical workers, that they hope to gain from the seismic data of the information is not limited to the seismic itself, and should be a information of direct response to the ground floor of lithology, physical properties or the distribution of oil, gas and water, and the past conventional techniques of seismic interpretation is difficult. With the oil exploration and development to further deepen, new theories, new technologies and new methods will emerge, and gradually in the oil and natural gas exploration and development play an increasing role.Seismic sedimentology is developed for subtle reservoirs, it is a new consider and new method for using seismic data to comprehensive interpreting and studying of sedimentology and evolution. It is a subject of using seismic information to studying sedimentology rocks and Forming processes of it. There is a lot of relation between Seismic sedimentology and seismic microstratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy and high-resolution sequence stratigraphy. The seismic sedimentology is a new edge detection subject after seismic microstratigraphy and sequence stratigraphy, have different rank study and development at home and abroad. In recent years, the study and practice of seismic sedimentology were consecutive developed at home. The science method and technology system of it were consecutive enhanced. But the applicability and technology system of it in practice application need to be developed. Especially, the application of study for subtle reservoirs in strata and lithological traps was very dotty.Study around advantage of seismic sedimentolohy in the course of learning subtle strata and lithological gas reservoirs, give us better reasonable technical route in this paper. And study on typical subtle lithological reservoir—Tabamiao D gas fields. The research significance is enriching and improving the theory and technology of seismic sedimentology in theory, and in practical production having directed production development. Research thinking and method: for the objective condition of geology and seismic data, we put forward seismic sedimentology by way of study, using advantage of it for reservoir predicting at research target. Firstly, preconditioning in the target area do a good job in high-precision seismic data processing research (the use of well-resolution processing techniques improve binding implementation). Secondly, analysis of depositional system at strengthening rocks, lithofacies physics, Strengthen the wells sequence stratigraphy research, do a good job in sequence stratigraphy between wells contrast, wells and set up sophisticated earthquake, such as unified stratigraphic framework. Thirdly, At gas-bearing prediction strengthen lithologic inversion and gas-bearing prediction research. Finally, General evaluation of the reservoir using seismic sedimentology seismic facies in the quantitative analysis techniques, combined with sedimentary facies research results, structural characteristics, the characteristics of stratigraphic thickness, sand body characteristics, under the Phased at carving sand body, the ultimate completion of the study mission.
