Analysis And Design Of WebGIS-Based Base Station Management And Plannig System

In recent years, the development of mobile communications was rapid, the size of the network of mobile communication enterprises was being in an exponential increase, including wireless base station resources management more and more attention. For effective management of resources in wireless base stations, based on the original GIS-based base station management and planning software, the World Wide Web Geographic Information System (WebGIS) was introduced to complete the resource management, query statistics, traffic thematic Analysis and so on.In the paper, the concepts and the characteristics of WebGIS were first introduced, then, after the analysis of the current WebGIS main realization technology, the problems in the current WebGIS development were brought forward. Then the WebGIS technologies based on WebServices/Ajax, GML/SVG were explored and discussed, and finally a WebGIS-based base station management and planning system, based on the WebGIS system structure design and the data organization, were developed by a mature WebGIS business services platform. In this system, the Webservice technology was used to realize the webmap publishing service and the data conversion service. Moreover, by using the Ajax technology, GML as the unified geographic information description language, SVG as a geography information visualization tool, not only the client in teractivity can enhanced, but also a lot of WebGIS functions such as map basic operation function,base station map query/SQL query function,base station thematic map function and data conversion function can be realized. The system also solved the problems to some degree such as the geographic information sharing and inter-operating problems.
