With the land resources depleting, the prospecting and research of deep-sea mineral resources has attracted the world wide attention. The resources of marine suspensions, and the sediment cores play an important role in the exploration of nature resource. Such as the turbidity is one of identification symbols of sub-marine hydrothermal flow, while the density changes in sediment can determine the existence of gas hydrates.In this paper, the analysis and summary of foreign and experimental research work and the status quo, based on 863 subjects with the specific requirements of the program proposed by the experiment, through the analysis and comparison of the experiment to determine the specific operation process and the establishment of the system test equipment.And this paper include introduction, experimental research, data analysis of results.Introduction shows the significance of deep-sea resources research and development, highlighting the deep-sea hydrothermal mineral resources. Analysis of domestic and foreign study and status of resources in the detection of hydrothermal deposits and analysis of hydrothermal deposits composition and progress made in this area. Based on the introducing the subject of the source, propose the research objectives of this topic and the main contents.The first part of this experiment use turbidity, suspended solids measured in different mineral particles of light scattering properties. Meanwhile, the deck after-treatment system in the sub-module sampler requires a sample to detect a variety of products for analysis and comparison of the advantages and disadvantages. We analysised and chose a rational laboratory equipment and programs, and carried out specific experiments to demonstrate it.Part II of the experiment discusses the advantage and disadvantage of existing equipment of experimental determination of sediment density, on this basis, the proposed elimination of the stroboscopic interference with double G-M counting tube for X-ray measurement, proposed a way to sediment density measurement method, precision, and through experimental validation of the program. The results show that double counter tubes programs can effectively eliminate random errors caused by X-ray stroboscopic, laying the foundation for a new density meter.
