Cluster and bimetallic cluster connect physics and chemistry. They are very important for study on new materials. Radiation resistant coating is an important material used for protecting surfaces of equipment, floor and wall in nuclear power station. As nuclear energy being employed more and more widely, research on radiation resistant coating absorbs more and more attentions. This study contains two parts:In the first part, configuration and binding energy of copper cluster and copper-cobalt bimetallic cluster were studied by Monte Carlo (MC) method. Base on our group's study on copper cluster by MC method with EAM potential, this work, according to Gupta potential theory, constituted a model, compiled programs by itself and applied MC method with Gupta potential in study on clusters Cun(n=2~60), in order to compare the influence of EAM potential and Gupta potential to simulation. The result indicated that calculating method affects configuration more than binding energy, while potential affects binding energy more than configuration. On the basis of study on copper cluster, this work further spread to study on configuration and binding energy of copper-cobalt bimetallic cluster CumCon_m(3≤n≤60, m≈n/2) by MC method with EAM potential. In configuration aspect, bimetallic clusters with 3-7 atoms tend to take on solid configurations; The other copper-cobalt bimetallic clusters take on configurations adding (or reducing) atoms to (or from) icosahedron slightly distorted. At the same time, segregation effect of copper-cobalt bimetallic cluster was obtained. In energy aspect, binding energy of bimetallic cluster (Cu-Co)13 decreases with increase of copper atom number; While binding energy of bimetallic cluster increases with increase of total atom number, whose value is between the values of copper cluster and cobalt cluster, closer to the former.In the second part, experimental research on anti-irradiation of radiation resistant coating was introduced. Firstly, it was introduced that the processes and details of manufacturing coating samples and irradiating the samples by y-ray, which contains selection of coating, substrate and radiation dose. Then, processes and details of infrared spectroscopy test of the coating samples were introduced. And the infrared spectra of the coating samples were obtained. By comparing spectra of two types of coatings and spectra under different doses, it was found that the gray crylic acid aliphatic coating changes more than the grayish epoxy polyamide coating, which indicates that anti-irradiation property of the latter is well, and the coating with aryl and aether has better anti-irradiation property.
