The Heishan copper-nickel deposit area belongs to the Beishan area, Gansu. Its regional structural location is in the northeastern margin of the Tarim Plate. The Beishan orogenic belt is located at the junction between the Tarim-Sino-Korean and Kazakhstan plates. This belt experienced multiple disintegration subduction collision assembling geological evolution. With the feature of multi cycle compound orogeny. It is formed by rifting from Late Proterozoic to Early Paleozoic. Cuprum nickeliferous basic-ultrobasic rocks upward migration along rifting prior period fault. Principal tectonic line striking near E-W and the subordinate ones striking near N-E and N-W. It proves the extruded mechanical.Starting from the metallogenic geological environment of metallogenic belt and based on the minute field approach geologic examination, this article gave a detailed presentation about the cause of ore's forming from aspects of the regional geological environment, an overview about ore-field geology, geological characteristics of ore-belt and so on. The analysis result is that the basic-ultrabasic rocks are composed of Harzburgites and the ultrabasic rockmass of Heishan is analogous to Jinchuan and Huangshan that contain plagioclase. The local melting basalt from upper mantle invade along broken channe, then lead to the Ni, Cu mineralization. Disseminated structure of the ore indicates there was a ore-bearing hydrothermal activity. Because the chemical compositions, various kinds of parameters and metallogenic specialization of the ore are all identical with Jinchuan and Xinjiang Huangshan's. So there must be the same metallogenic conditions and prospecting. The obvious wall-rock alteration in the eastern and western margin of the rock maybe show the intrusive conduct. According to rock mix, facies distribution and relationship, we mark out two sessions and three lithofacies, find out the ore mineral and gangue mineral species, paragenetic association, textures and structures of the ore. It is magmatic hydrothermal segregation deposits, the mineralizing matters came mainly from the upper mantle, the crystal of the metal sulfides sulfur occurred in the late magma activity. In the end, we conduct a preliminary study about the mineralization scale, accumulation, genesis and mineralization, sum up ore-forming mechanism, summarizes geological characteristics and metellogenic regularity, put forward the way of further exploration and prospecting in the study area.
