Along with the enhancement of oil/gas exploration degree, the imaging logging is playing the much more important role in the fractured reservoir's appraisal because of its viewable and intuitive characteristics. Based on the south of Sulige's and the north of Shanxi's and the Pengyang's acoustic and electrical imaging logging data, the paper carried on the research of the fracture and formation stress and paleocurrent. This paper first elaborated the logging principle and the instrument structure. Using rock rubbing of model well to calibrate, do the research of the geologic application, include these aspects as follow: the identification of the fracture and the formation stress analysis and the paleocurrent research. The research suggests that there are a lot of high-angle fractures and grandient fractues in the south of Sulige, but less right-angle fractures, especially all most none low-angle and horizontal fractures. The major fractures direction is from slanting north of east to slanting south of west.. The maximum formation stress direction is from slanting north of east to slanting south of west. There are braid river deltas front facies in the he8 stratum. In the north of Shanxi district, most fractures are high-angle fractures. The paleocurrent direction is about southwest and almost south. In the Pengyang district, the paleocurrent direction changed a lot in the different wall area. But in the same wall area, the paleocurrent direction is almost same in the Yan'an stratum. The maximum formation stress direction is from northeast to southwest in the east wings of syncline in the Yan'an stratum of Yan20 wall area, and in the syncline axle of YanB wall area, the maximum formation stress direction is from slanting north of east to slanting south of west.Through the relationship of the fracture and the fracture operation analysis, in the low permeability reservoir, the fractures plays a very important role in the reservoir productivity and reservoir modification effect. Study the reservoir, surrounding rock and the fracture in the cap rock by using imaging logging data, then can provide the necessary theoretical basis of the oil and gas field development project.
