At present, most of the old oil field in the "high water content, high degree of recovery and the total decline" stage of development. with the growing rich of the core, logging, analysis of laboratory data of Static information and of dynamic information , such as oil Test, exploiting test, oil,gas and water output, production rate gradually decreased. Against this background, In order to increase and improve production efficiency in the later period of development, the concept of "redevelopment" about the old oil field was proposed. "Redevelopment" is the development of the old oil fields of more than 20 years, more than 80% moisture content, the extent of recoverable reserves of more than 70%. In this paper, the Gangdong Oilfield as an example, Based on the core,logging and seismic datum, applying sedimentary petrography and geology, focus on the geological characteristics of complex fault block oil field, mainly from several aspects of the stratigraphy, tectonics,sedimentation, single-sandbody meticulous portrait of the internal structure, describe the geological characteristics and reservoir characteristics, reservoir variation during the process of redevelopment. First of all, in accordance with basic data and log interpretation make stratigraphic classification and correlation, and define stratigraphic framework; using the seismic data, a single well fault comparison system data analyses structure; use a single well with core data, sand thick data , log-phase to divide sedimentary microfacies, then combine a dynamic data to make a single sand body analysis of the internal configuration; according to the core data, such as porosity, permeability and sand thickness map, shale seal in sandstone describe the reservoir characteristics; and then, according to logging interpretation and well testing data analyze reservoir characteristics and reservoir characteristics changes before and after the development; finally, in accordance with the effective thickness and oil-bearing area, unit reserve factor complete calculation of reserve and analyze changes of reserves; By combining static and dynamic analysis of residual oil distribution and enrichment, forecasted remaining oil distribution area, reasonable exploitation idea was proposed.Through analysis, No.1 District in Eastern Dagang Oilfield Minghuazhen formation is divided into 79 single layers. Determine the studying area for the meandering river deposits. It divided into point bar, the last channel, abandoned channel, crevasse splay, spill shore sand, flood plain six kinds of sedimentary microfacies. The main reservoir is the point bar. Quality reservoir with debris consisting mainly of feldspathic fine-grained sandstone, classify is better, muddy is the major cement, cementation loose. Pore types for high porosity and permeability coarse throat.
