Balkhash-Dzungar is the most important area in central Asia, which contains abundant mineral resources. It takes a crucial role in current days, because it is the key point to the national resources security and replaced base. The porphyry copper deposits are following the interest.Estimates of numbers of mineral deposits are fundamental to assessing undiscovered mineral resources. The density model studied in this thesis is the most important part of Three-Part Assessment. In the Three-Part Assessment, we delineate the tracts by deposit model; build up the grade-tonnage model by known deposits in control areas; obtain the relationship between mineral deposits size, grade, tonnage, number and resources by density model, by which we can estimates the number of unknown deposits and potential resources. The research chooses Balkhash-Dzungar as the study area, obtains the describe model by analyzing the tectonic, tectonic faces and typical deposits, delineates the tracts on the desk of ArcGIS in the basis of known deposits, distribution of vacancies and porphyries, influence of faults, magmatic and gravity data; chooses the 19 highly developed areas as control areas, build up the density model to set up the connection between deposits size, grade, tonnage, number and resources; apply the density model in the study area in which we think them have the same distribution to estimate the number and resources. We find that in the same geology environment, Dzungar has the abundant resources as same as Balkhash, in addition, Baogutu area is significant, which offer a clue to the further exploration.
