Along with GIS in various fields at home and abroad with the rapid development and extensive, various professional fields of spatial graphical data file file's quantity and the complex degree are also getting bigger and bigger.Now the mainstream of gis software,such as mapgis arcgis, mapinfo, only introduced the concept of the project document to manage graphics files.But The project document fell far short of managing huge, complex, multi-level spatial graphics data file and its metadata purposes.Therefore,how does the effective management these geometric figure document become the urgently needed solution the question.This article studies the goal is to carry on the effective management and the application well to the related geoscience domain magnanimous graphic files,Has conducted the further research and the development to the original Geosciences Synthetic Information Maps Database Management System.Geosciences Synthetic Information Maps Database Management System designed by object-oriented programming language Microsoft Visual C++6.0 and MapGIS SDK,Use access database management metadata,Further to management of metadata files and graphics files,application development of the Graphic files,research and development of The system's installment. The main achievement is as follows:1.Management of the metadata files and graphics files(1) Metadata depositingThe original system uses a Access database direct depositing Yuan data,As a result of this way's limitation, in fact can only deposit and demonstrate that is short in 255 bytes data and the metadata display pages and windows does not support the volume expansion.Make the original system only to support an explanation description metadata.The author uses the Access database in the present system to store the path of the metadata files, program search by file name path of the metadata file storage,Procedure through filename search metadata depositing path. Application through the graphics files'filename to locate the metadata files'path,readed the contenet of metadata files directly. Not only solve the problem of metadata storage capacity, but also through the vertical scrolling,Horizontal volume page or adjustment window size view complete data。Which makes the present system, the metadata can be used to explain not only describe the graphics files, display graphics can also be used to access the data set and its characteristics.In addition, an right-click the "Show file metadata" method to display its metadata.(2) Metadata demonstration content editionThe original system can only display the directory or file metadata content, can not directly edit it revised and updated.To modify the update metadata must be returned to the Access database table, edit the corresponding meta-data fields.One can imagine, from the mass of the meta-data file to find the corresponding meta-data fields of a hassle and difficult, Moreover, the field changes the contents of the table is neither straightforward nor convenient.New development of metadata features, you can edit and update the metadata in that display window directly .(3) Metadata examination wayAlthough the original system has a directory display of metadata, but it is by click the same name of the Point, Line and range files achieved,from the operation contact surface's visual angle, is still the Point, the line, the range file form, may also say that has not realized the meta-data directory truly.In the present system can be displayed by directory metadata in two ways.Click the directory , click "Show Metadata" button to display;or the right-click on the list, select "show folder metadata" ,show corresponding to the directory metadata.(4) Metadata table managementNot just in how to view, display, modify metadata content, but also in the management of metadata on the table.Users who want to correspond to a directory or file meta data files to change search path for additions and deletions do not need to find relevant Access database table, Do not need to know how to operate the corresponding Access database table. In this system, according to needs to add, modify and delete, it is very intuitive and convenient.Thus further strengthening the management of metadata.(4) Directory and file managementIn order to strengthen the management of the library files are system resource management in view of the left directly delete files or folders functions. In the present system uses the files conversion function _Shapeout of MapGIS SDK secondary development library. Complete batch transform all the files under the selected directory,is better realized with other GIS software's resource sharing, has avoided the massive repetitive construction 3. Therefore, the author uses the SmartInstallMaker for it developed an independent package installation feature. Use the system integrated management of the district under the geology, gravity, aeromagneticmelt,geochemical exploration ,information integration, synthesis forecast of more than 3000 graphics library and data files, the map database classification clearly , level clearly , and easy operation, friendly interface and so on merits.Geosciences Synthetic Information Maps Database Management System is Not only for solid mineral prediction and assessment of mineralization can also be applied to the resource survey, environmental assessment, disaster prediction, land management, urban planning and other fields.
