| ABSTRACT:In university, the levels of stipend are primarily based on family financial difficulty. As China's economic development, the intensity and coverage of funding on stipend are increasing. The disparity of money between each level becomes bigger. It's difficult to judge on the level between general financial difficulty and no financial difficulty. In addition, the identify on family financial difficulty contains many factors, which lead to that most current methods used among Chinese universities are qualitative rather than quantitative. To a certain extent, this kind of method is often influenced by subjective factors, which cannot deal with the mew problems.First, in view of shortcomings in current methods, by analyzing the factors that affect the family financial difficulty, using fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory, I build model I "A model for assessing the level of stipend based on fuzzy comprehensive evaluation". Model I gives an index system of family financial condition and a quantization method for each index. Testing model I with real data shows that the model I is feasible and effective. As the information collected from "Stipend Application Form" not specific enough, the content of each applicant cannot be unified. Therefore it's difficult to assess the level of stipend. Through further analysis, summarizing in assessing index, refining the content of information collection, using cluster analysis, I build modelingâ…¡"A model for assessing the level of stipend based on family income and expenditure". Modeling II transforms family's income and expenses (including living expenses, education expenses, medical expenses, etc.) into the amount to calculate the amount that family can supply the student's living expenses. Using cluster analysis, we determine boundary of each level of stipend. Based on modelâ…¡, using VC# language and SQL database, I develop a stipend assessment system. Testing modelâ…¡with simulative data shows that modelâ…¡is feasible and effective. The stipend assessment system makes that the process of assessment becomes more transparent, efficient, and thus improves the fairness of the assessment. |
