Focused on chaotic circuits and its application in secure communication, this paper made a more extensive and in-depth research. In the first part, it clarified the purpose and the significance of the study, briefly discussed the basic theory of chaos and the definition of fractional order, introduced the basic dynamical properties of the typical chaotic system equations and the attractor phase diagram, and summarized the implement method of chaos circuit.In the second part, it studied the basic dynamic properties of the improved Lorenz system, designed the corresponding chaotic circuit, proposed fractional order form of the improved Lorenz system, obtained the necessary conditions for chaotic attractors in the fractional order system, designed the fractional order chaotic circuit, and proved that the fractional order chaotic system did exist by the consistent results through numerical simulation and circuit simulation.In the third part, it studied the basic dynamical properties of the Lorenz hyperchaotic system, designed the corresponding chaotic circuit, proposed the fractional order form of the Lorenz hyperchaotic system, obtained the necessary conditions for chaotic attractors in the fractional order hyperchaotic system, designed the fractional order hyperchaotic circuit, and proved that the fractional order hyperchaotic system did exist by the consistent results through numerical simulation and circuit simulation. On that basis, it proposed the hyperchaotic system with a fractional derivative term, designed the chaotic circuit for the system, and conducted a circuit simulation. Finally, it proposed a new fractional order chaotic system, obtained the necessary conditions for chaotic attractors in the fractional order system, designed the equivalent chaotic circuit, and tested the circuits at the same time.In the last part, it summed up chaotic secure communication scheme, and achieved the fractional-order chaotic synchronous circuit by using the feedback linearization synchronized method. Based on chaos masking method, the chaotic secure communication system has the improvements in the weak chaotic signal and energy, and made encryption after the signal amplification. Through simulation experiment, it was found that this method was feasible, had a good effect, and enhanced the security of communication system.
