The paper takes the land subsidence in the central area of Tatun as an example, which caused by exploitation of underground water. A 3D coupling-model of seepage and stress was established, based on soil percolation theory and Biot's consolidation theory, using the multiphysics coupling process software-COMSOL Multiphysics, which builds on partial differential equations (PDEs),combining the measured datas for many years in the central area of Tatun. After the model identification and parameter optimization analysis, the observations of the holes'simulation head value were obtained. At the same time, the simulation settlement and the measured observation value are in the best fitting, which can ensure that the model is reasonable, reliable,in line with the actual situation. The simulation analysis reveals the settlement mechanism and the law of deformation caused by exploitation of groundwater in the region and obtains the groundwater level and deformation of ground settlement in dry season and wet seasons in Tatun centeral area in 2006. The results show that the calculation model has certain engineering value and practical value. In order to evaluate extent of the damage of surface buildings by land subsidence, the model calculates three basic parameters like ground tilt, curvature and horizontal deformation, which can reflect ground deformation.then we analyse the more serious regional counterparts in the central area refering to the related protocols. At last, the paper put forward a series of effective countermeasures.
