In this paper, taking 3# coal seam of Lu'an Mine area as the aimed area, using gas geology, combining with large number of mine production data, including gas emission, gas content and gas pressure data, to study the controlling of geological evolution (tectonic evolution, sedimentary burial history, thermal history, coal rank - hydrocarbon history) on the gas occurrence in Luan Mine area through the method of gas geological map. Analysising and determining the gas weathering zone; Analysising affect of various geological controlling structures factors on the Occurrence of coalseam gas; Dividing gas geological unit, forecasting and calculating the coalbed gas resource. This paper aims to probe into the controlling characteristic of geological evolution to the gas occurrence in lu'an minfield. The collision splitting of Pacific Plate and the North China Plate, the Taihang Mountains uplifting, Qinshui double syncline, Jinhuo fault-fold belt have a controlling structure Luan mining area; Yanshan late - the Himalayan tectonic movement controls the tectonic framework of Luan Mining; NNE , NE the distribution of the anticline folds is easy to gas occurrence; Gas content was positively correlated with seam thickness of overlying strata effective, depth, vitrain reflectance. Diving gas geological unit to studying gas deposit law. Different factors affected the gas occurrence, different geological units; Mining hydrological conditions has dispersion effect. Adding the growthful faults, contacted coal and the faced plate aquifer, that makes the ground water activity and the gas content reduced.
