This paper introduces research background of the automotive panel stamping simulation, discusses the basic theory of the numerical simulation of sheet metal forming in detail, including:large displacement, large rotation and large deformation phenomena, finite deformation elastic-plastic constitutive relation, contact friction treatment and so on. While against a vehicle's interior stiffener forming process carried out the simulation by Dynaform. Simulation design method has proved practical, through repeated simulations, to identify a reasonable process parameters, and to optimize the process of stamping and its results. At last the die design, manufacturing, assemblies, debugging. Finally a successful trial of the OTS parts.Through the research projects on the numerical simulation technology in sheet metal forming of application has a very good understanding. It also shows the simulation technology is an important position in the stamping process.
