The existing prediction and control method of numerical control machining process has been unable to meet the development needs of modern manufacturing, it is necessary to establish a comprehensive, accurate simulation system of numerical control machining process based on prediction and analysis. In which the physical simulation is difficult but must be breaked, because establishing models is difficult, and it involves in extensive research including basis, theory and test. The milling temperature is important factor in physical simulation. In this paper, the related issues of milling temperature are studied in depth. In this paper, the practical significance of research questions is analyzed, and the research status of correlative technical issues at home and abroad is reviewed in detail. Putting numerical control milling as an object, the ball-end milling temperature test is carried out, and the influence law between cutting temperature and cutting parameters is studied. Mathematic model of surface temperature and its influencing factors based on ball-end milling is established using joint modeling of exponentially fitting and least square method on the basis of test data.According to theory of metal cutting and heat transfer, mathematical model of temperature field when work piece is milled by ball-milling cutter is established using moving heat source theory. Dynamic simulation and finite element analysis is carried out for the work piece temperature field using PRO/E and ALGOR software to joint modeling and moving surface heat source finite element model which is suitable for milling intermittent cutting. The ball-end milling cutter thermal deformation mode is established using ball-end milling cutter temperature modeling, and the work piece thermal deformation is also established. Communication interface between VC++ development platform and analysis software is established. Based on the above established model, numerical control milling temperature simulation system is developed based on finite element method, and verified by combined with the parts actual processing. The dissertation combines theory research with experiment research, not only establishes mathematical model in theoretical research, but also does plenty of NC machining experiments to validate model credibility. It provides help for selecting reasonable parameter and studying the dynamic simulation of milling temperature. It lays foundation for developing practical physics simulation system of milling process.
