Because of excellent performance, filament winding products of continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites has been developed and produced vigorously by some big companies and research institutes at abroad; However, they are rarely involved in the domestic, so the study of process of filament winding of continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic composites is important to promote its development. This paper studied the process for two-step filament winding of continuous glass fiber reinforced polypropylene tubes:First, a tape winding apparatus was designed and manufactured with a speed of 10m/min;Second, Circumferetia tubes, spiral tubes with winding angle of 55°and 75°and the tubes with the combine of Circumferetia winding and spiral winding with 75°were prepared with ribbons simulating instead of prepregs;Last, continuous glass fiber reinforced polypropylene tubes were prepared by two-step filament winding with prepegs in melt impregnations as raw materials. This paper studied the influence of processing parameters on ILSS of the tube wall and resin content of the tube through orthogonal experiments. Increasing the temperature of preheating, the mandrel-pressure roller and the hot air gun and choosing the moderate pressure of pressure roller come along with a rise in interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) and a reduction in resin content. When the temperature of preheating, the hot air gun and the mandrel-pressure roller are 170℃,260℃and 160℃respectively, and the pressure of the pressure roller is 0.15Mpa, its overall performance is the best (ILSS for 20.47MPa and resin content for 45.58%); And the influence of mandrel-pressure roller's temperature on ILSS is the greatest as concluded.
