In the stirred tank slurry reactor solid phase is cobalt-based catalyst, liquid phase is liquid paraffin, and the internal filter made of sintered metal plate as filter media was installed to achieve solid-liquid separation. The effects of pressure drop (0.9-1.9MPa), temperature (423-523K), rotational speed (400-800rpm), solid holdup (10-30%), filter media pore size (5-30μm) and particle diameter (30-38μm,38-63μm) on filtration rate were investigated. The results showed that clarified and stable filtrate was gained through internal filtration in the slurry reactor; with the operation carried out, the cake thickness reached dynamic balance, the resistance did not change, and then the filtration rate tended to stabilize; the filtration rate increased as the increase of pressure drop, temperature, filter media pore diameter, particle diameter, and decreased as the increase of rotational speed and sold holdup. Meanwhile, the effect of temperature and particle diameter was largest, and the effect of rational speed and solid holdup was smallest.Filtration model was established through dimensional analysis, and values of parameter were gained by using Michael Marquardt algorithm. The statistical test and comparison between the calculated data with experimental data revealed that the model was reliable. The present investigation and the model may be useful to practical production.
