The most widely used method of long shaft surface finishing method is taken by grinding now. As the long shaft of the poor rigidity, heat distortion and other factors, grinding process can easily bring bending and vibration, so that grinding can not get the ideal surface roughness and shape accuracy, in particular the roundness error is too large cylindrical or makes polygon, bamboo shape, etc, defects. Therefore, the long shaft of the right to material processing machine and supporting tools, precision of tools, cutting parameters, technical arrangements and operational skills have higher requirements.In this paper, the long shaft surface finishing method is by rolling, we design the specific structure of the rolling device. Compared to grinding, the rolling device has the following characteristics: the heat generated when processing a substantial reduction; wheel radial level of the layout of the way home, so that the long shaft of the force to be processed is more uniform; roll pressure from the hydraulic cylinder provided to ensure that the application of force is uniform. In addition, the rolling process can also improve the long shaft finishing efficiency.The use of dynamic explicit finite element analysis software ANSYS/ LS-DYNA, simulation analysis of the three kinds of shapes, different number of rollers on the long shaft of the surface to be machined plastic deformation, the long shaft and the wheel contact force between the processing after the long shaft surface, the actual displacement of the node, as a basis for the long shaft of the rolling wheel to select the appropriate shape in order to providing theoretical basis.Use the modal analysis to determine the long shaft of some of the vibration characteristics, including: natural frequencies, mode shapes and so on. By observing the changes in natural frequencies and mode shape characteristics and laws find whether the long shaft in the processing has occurred resonance with the machine, and use it as a basis for proposing rolling processing improvements.
