Micro-milling is a new technology. Both academy and industrial field at home and abroad pay more and more attention to micro-milling because of its capability to fabricate micro complex three-dimensional shapes with various materials. Mainly around aspects such as dynamical characteristics of micro-milling machine, move control system of micro-milling and micro-milling processing experiments of three-dimensional structure, this paper maked some researches as follows:⑴Contrapose to servocontrol system of linear motor, deeply researched influence rules of driver servo parameters and contoller PID on servo system. Through a servocontrol system model and the optimization of the machine dynamic performance, the contol precision of the machine was improved.⑵Based on modularization idea, developed an open move control system of micro-milling on the Labwindows/CVI software development platform. The problem that the control of the machine was short of convenience and flexibility has been solved.⑶Considering the small diameter of micro-milling tool and smaller clearance of tool setting, magnifing the tool setting aera and observing through image of magnification at high multiple, constructed a tool setting system. With the help of this system, we can effectively shorten the time of tool setting and improve tool setting precision.⑷Based on the work done above, carried out some micro-milling processing experiments of typical constructure. The favorable dynamical properties and actual processing ability of the machine was verified through observation, measurement and analysis of the cutting results.
