Porphyrin is a general term of the homologue and derivative of porphine withsubstituting groups at the outside ring, when two portons at inside ring are displacedby the metal ion, metalloporphyrins is synthesized. Since the porphyrin and its metalcomplexes have a special structure and properties; they play an important role inanalytical chemistry, functional materials, molecule identification and photo-electronconversions fields. People made a lot of scientific research in the synthesis and theapplications of porphyrin deeply. In this thesis, on the basis of preliminary work, andthe need of our laboratory at this stage, we had synthesized a series of porphyrins withdifferent substituting groups. And the structures of them are confirmed by IR, UV-Visand 1H NMR. In addition, we also do some simple electrochemical characterization. Inthe process of synthesis, we discuss the optimization of the synthetic conditions, andthe results are good. This thesis is consisted with three parts as follows:ChapterⅠIn this section, we introduce the basic structure and nature of porphyrin,and the application of porphyrin in medicine, biochemistry, synthetic chemistry andother fields, additionally, the synthesis of porphyrin is introduced by the numbers.ChapterⅡa series of porphyrin with different substituting groups at the outsidering were synthesized, including hydroxyl-phenylporphyrins, thiol-derivatized-phenylporphyrins,imidazole-derivatized-phenylporphyrins, pyrrodiazole-derivatized-phenlporphyrins,summed 18 compounds, and the structures of them are confirmed by IR,UV-Vis and 1H NMR. In the process of synthesis, we found that the proportion of theamount of raw materials, reaction temperature, the speed of stirring and other factorswill affect the production rate, we discussed the optimization of the syntheticconditions, and the results are good.ChapterⅢseries of porphyrins with different crown ether were synthesized andtheir structures have been confirmed by UV-Vis, IR, 1H NMR and electrochemicalbehavior. Meantime, the influences of their spectral and electrochemical propertieswere discussed. And we are also using the product 5-(benzo-12-crown-4) -10,15,20-triphenylporphyrinfor a simple electrochemical characterization. In the process ofsynthetic, we discussed the synthetic pathway, confirmed that a more feasible solution, which is the synthesis of 5-(3, 4-dihydroxy)-10,15,20–triphenylporphyrin firstly andthe synthesis of oligoethylene glycol ditosylates secondly, and then with the twocompounds target compounds were synthesized.
