Ordinary abrasive tools are widely used now, but its higher sintering temperature does not meet the demand of low carbon and environment friendly economy, and it is imperative to reduce the sintering temperature according to the development of society. The effects of contents and proportion of component and additives (silica dioxide, calcium oxide, calcium fluoride) on the properties of clay-feldspar-borosilicate glass bond system were studied in this paper, and the low temperature vitrified bond for ordinary abrasive tools was prepared. The results are followed.1). Effects of Al2O3/SiO2 on the properties of clay-feldspar-borosilicate glass bond system are more prominent, contrast to boron oxide and alkaline metal oxide. When the Al2O3/SiO2 in the bond is 0.35, the refractoriness of the vitrified bond is 870℃, and the maximum bending strength(74.41MPa) of the bond is achieved.2). When boron oxide content in the bond is constant, with Al2O3/SiO2 ratio increases, the refractoriness of the bond rises, the fluidity of the bond rises firstly and then decreases. The maximum of bending strength is different with different sintering temperature at different Al2O3/SiO2 ratio.3).Silica dioxide additive makes the refractoriness of the bond decrease, and there is no obvious regularity on the bending strength. When the addition is 7wt%, the refractoriness of the bond is 855℃, and the bending strength of the bond is maximum; Calcium oxide additive makes the refractoriness of the bond rise, when its additive is more than 4wt%, the fluidity of the bond rise and the bending strength decrease with the increase of calcium oxide additive; Calcium fluoride additive makes the refractoriness of the bond decrease and the fluidity rise, and the bending strength decrease in despite of the interface bonding get better between bond and abrasive from the view of micro morphology.
