The Technology of Surface Texturing is belonged to the surface project category and it is the application embranchment of Surface Technology . In the industry developed area such as North American and West European, amouts of steel sheets are widely used in manufacturing , especially in automobile industry. The body panels of car are made of textured steel sheets which means the surface that possessed equality and dense little concave hole . Textured surface is propitious to the molding of steel sheets and minished the abrasion of mould and boost up the adsorbability of oil paint as well. So the textured steel sheets play an important role in the steel and automobile industries. But at the present time our civil mainly depend on import. On the basis of the research on surface electrodischarge texturing (EDT) of Department of Machinical Engineering of DUT, this paper deeply carries through and makes a research on the controlling of quality of EDT. It is undoubtedly a piece of work owns of theoretic meaning and realistic value. Derivation and developing from the theory of electrodischarge machining , EDT is a new technology ,which has evident economy and society benefits. The technical or economic target such as surface roughness Ra, the diameter of concave hole D and the space between two neighbour concave hole Pc etc, can be easily controlled. Therefore, popularizing this technology will be benefite to advance the level of our automobile industry. On the basis of deeply analyzing the theory and mechanism of discharge machining, this paper discusses the essence principle of EDT. Through a plenty of experimental phenomena and analyzing the data,we study on the relationship between the surface texturing quality ahd discharge parametre (impulse peak current Ip, impulse peak voltage, on-time Tk, on-off Ti etc.) and eventualy establishe a static math modeling accords with the fact by applying the statistics, which demonstrates the inherence affiliation of model parameter Ra, D, Pc and control vaviable Tk, Ip. It can predict the textured surface quality target under different variable by using the modeling ,which resultes in the target can be effectively controlled. Secondly, this paper analysis the degree of effection of work fluid, observes the texturing quality target by designing different electrodes , makes a deep research on the microcosmic appearance and chemical component as well as the physical and mechanical capability of the texturing surface . Lastly, based on the achievements about this ,under MS-WINDOWS workstation ,by means of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) , using VC+?.O, ActiveX and OpenGL, we work out a visual sofiware system including the adding, analyzing, handling , saving and printing of data, which finally be proved practicability and high effectively by the instance of this paper.
