In this thesis we simulated the plastic pipe processing combining compute mechanics, polymer rheology and computer technology in one based on the theoretical analysis and investigation. When simulating the state changes of the polymer in the screw, on the basis of the work of some previous researches, a math model including solids conveying model, melting model and melt-conveying model was developed. The predictions have been confirmed with experimental results. When simulating the flow condition of the plastic ?melt in the pipe die, numerical simulations including velocity plot and temperature plot were carried out using the package Ansys based on the finite element method. In the same time simulate the effect of the geometry parameter including spider shape, compression ratio and the length of sizing on the weld-line in extruded plastic pipe. The simulations offer the theoretical bases for computer-aided design of the extrusion die and screw and optimizing processing conditions.
