Adverse Stress Of Urban Domestic Wastewater Discharge On Water Quality Of Qiantangjiang River And Relevant Regulating Countermeasures

Water is the source of living organisms. Qiantang River is the source of Zhejiang抯 people. Water resources in Qiantang River directly maintain Qiantang people抯 life and industrial and agricultural development in the valley. In particular, it coins beautiful Hangzhou and pretty West Lake. In a sense there is an important and profound influence of Qiantang River on sustainable development of Zhejiang economy and society through the action of Zhejiang capital. In recent years, society and economy in the Qiantang Valley develop rapidly, urban construction is in a hotspot, and population is thus being centralized along the river. So domestic and producing wastewater is ceaselessly output. Domestic wastewater from cities and towns along the river is directly discharged into the river, thereby having polluted water in the river. However, stress of domestic wastewater on water quality in Qiantang River still remains unclear. According to geographical differences among the towns, people抯 habits and customs, and the levels of economic development, 6 typical towns belong to 3 geographical and economical types were selected as the sites of the research. Tested water-quality parameters were pH, COD Cr?TN, TP, oils, detergent (LAS) and coliform group number. The sampling time included autumn, summer and winter. The results on the basis of statistical analyses, regression correlation and the calculation of water quality index showed as follows: 1. Qiantang River has been seriously polluted. The dominating pollution source is domestic effluent. With the improvement of industrial technology and the recycling of water resources in the process of industrial production, the discharge of industrial effluent will be reduced. The domestic wastewater will be the main pollution source to impact the ecology of banks. 2. According to the test of domestic wastewater, we can see that the concentrations were heavy of domestic wastewater. In some parts of Qiantang River, the pollution was exceeding autopurification of water. So the river was stressed really. 3 3. According to test, we can see that the temperature impacts the parameter. If the temperature is improved, parts of ingredients concentration is improved too. For the improved temperature, the drainage volume of domestic effluent is improved. 4. The adsorption and release of the bottom deposit impact the test of parameter, except the temperature. Of course the agricultural effluent and a part of industrial effluent impact the test too in some certain. 5. Becauce the domestic wastewater was main pollution source to the Qiantang River, it is time to get some countermeasures to treat the river: To the prepared and building high- building, it should design, construct and move in the same time. It is the same to the biotop to construct the small collection treatment. For our country is development country, we should notice that the price of the construction and the cost of the move and get the low price and low cost construction.
