The paper based on the reuse of carbon black from the pyrolysis of used tires, studied the influence of pyrlysis conditions on the yield of the pyrolitic carbon black (CBp). Brought forward the regeneration mechanism. Analysed the whole composition and the surface characteristic of the pyrolytic carbon black. Presents the relatively integral "pit-shell model" of pyrolytic carbon black firstly. Gives the new using of pyrolytic carbon black. The main works of the paper list as the following:1. By changing the pyrolysis temperature, speed of temperature increasing and pyrolysis pressure, studied the influence of pyrolysis condition on the yield and quality of pyrolytic carbon black. The results show that the temperature is the main parameter, the speed of temperature increasing and pyrolysis pressure are also important parameters. The regeneration of CBp comes through the pyrolysis of rubber and the surface grant pyrolysis. It can be found that the yield of CBp decreased with the increase of pyrolysis temperature and few carbonaceous deposits on the surface of the CBp get from high temperature. The yield of CBp decreased with the increasing of speed of temperature and the reducing of pyrolysis pressure.2. Electron microscope photograph method analysis shows that the average particle diameter of CBp is large. DBF absorption experiment shows that the CBp has low structure. The surface aperture of CBp is larger than the commercial carbon black. There are more defects on the CBp surface. The specific surface of CBp increased with the increasing of pyrolysis temperature.3. Analysed the bulk elemental composition, the surface elemental distribution and chemical structure of the CBp. The results show that CBp has more inorganic components and volatile components. The surface polarity of CBp is lower than that of Bp and is more oil-affinitive. The main components of the inorganic are ZnO and ZnS. Though acid washing the content of inorganic can be deduced. XPS analysis shows that there is large mount of ester and hydrocarbon graft. Pyrolytic carbon black has different surface chemical state. With the increasing of the pyrolysis temperature the surface elemental distribution of CBp changed correspondingly. The content of C increased, the content of O decreased, the content of S fluctuated and the content of Zn changed little.4. Present the relatively integral "pit-shell model" of pyrolytic carbon black firstly. Itshows that the main body of the CBp is the same as the carbon black filled when tire product. But the surface of the CBp is different from that. The surface of CBp is formed of carbon black, inorganic and carbonaceous deposits. Which suggests the new using of the CBp.5. As the filler of rubber and printing ink pyrolytic carbon black must have better dispersing. The capability of printing ink using CBp satisfied the need. The ink has better fluidity and thermally stability.
