Since oganic photochromic materials have extensive application prospect in science and daily life,much effort and attention has paid to the studies of photochromism. Indolinspiroxazines are one kind of oganic photochromic comm-ponds with most promising practical application prospect. The outstanding properties are their high photocolourability and remarkable fatigue resistance .There are many potential application of these commponds,but one of the more particularly advantageous known application is ophthalmic lens field for the purpose of screening light radiation as a function of its intensity.But their photocolourability and fatigue resistance must be promoted for the practical application in ophthalmic lens field.Based on the intensive study of mechanisms of photocolouration and photofatigue, we have designed and sythsized two indolinspiroxazine commponds with high photocolourability (especially at high temrperature such as 40?)and remarkable fatigue resistance.By studying their photochromic properties,we found 6 -cyano-spiro[indolin[2,3 ]naphthoxazine] having particularly advantageous photochromic properties, such as high colorability (in their open form , in the visible regine),rapid colouration kinetics over a wide temperature,in particular between 0- 40?.We also found that the fatigue resistant property of indolinspiroxazine with bonding antioxidant was not as good as our anticipation .
