The fuel ash is a kind of solid waste from the boiler of and power plant . At present ,the accumulation of the fuel ash have surpassed 1 billion ton,furthermore,this numbers has been increasing rapidly by the ration of millions of tons per year. Its utilization ratio is approximate 40 percent in our country. The fuel ash has been utilized mainly in fire bricks,construction a road ,cements,mixed raw materials of concrete and improving soils and so on. The residue of ferric sulfide ore is also a kind of solid waste from sulphuric acid plant. Millions of tons of the residue of ferric sulfide ore are emitted every year in our country. The main of the residue of ferric sulfide ore has been accumulated besides the small amount of it has been utilized .Those solid waste not only take up much land,pollute environment but also waste a lot of resource.According to the feature of the fuel ash and the residue of ferric sulfide ore,We research and product a kind of coagulant withexcellent property-PAFCS, and treat the papermaking blackliquid with it. This paper has guiding significance certainly to synthetic application of the fuel ash and the reside of ferric sulfide ore. The research can not only solve the environment pollution of those waste,but also obtain useful resource.According to the feature of the fuel ash and the residue of ferric sulfide ore. We have gotten the optimum experimental condition by a number of experiments. In the basis of those experiments,according to the different hydrolysis feature of aluminum and iron,we have synthesized a kind of inorganic highpolymer coagulant-PAFCS by controlling the hydrolyticreaction condition and treated the papermaking black liquid with it. At the same time,we have analyzed and studied the microscopicStructure and coagulate product of PAFCS and PAC with the aid of many modern materials testing means such as XRD,IR,SEM and TEM etc.The main results are(1) The dissolution ratio of aluminum in the fuel ash can reach 46 percent when the compound of NH4F and KF serve as auxiliary dissolution of the fuel ash. (2) Firstly,neutralize the pH of dissolution of the fuel ash and the reside of ferric sulfide ore to 3.0-3.5. Secondly,preserve the temperature of 60--70 six hours. Thirdly,add the ion of SO42- into the dissolution and continue to preserve the temperature of 60-70 two hours. Under those conditions,we can synthesize the PAFCS. (3) The result of XRD indicates that the crystallinity of PAFCS is worse than it of PAC. (4) Compare PAFCS with PAC,we find out that the former possess the property of the less of dose,broader range of pH and quicker depositional rate. (5) When we treat the papermaking black liquid with PAFCS,the added residue can not only increase the removal ratio of COD of black liquid but also quicken the depositional rate of black liquid. (6) The coagulate principle of PAFCS to papermaking black liquid is condensing the double layer electric field and the linking of high polymer.
