Electromagnetic forming is a new process of high-energy and high-velocity. It has the merit of simple equipments, high productivity and good controllability. In the recent years, for the need of producing new high-intensity alloy and complex parts, electromagnetic forming has been of the research hotspots in plasticity industries.In this thesis, the author has analyzed the discharge model of electromagnetic forming and deduced the calculation formulas of some discharge circuit parameters. The finite element method has been used to calculate the discharge currents of electromagnetic forming. The author has designed a relevant analysis calculation program module, which has been testified by experiments. The results indicate that finite element method is valid method and its results are close to the reality.Based on the theories of finite element method and the theories of electromagnetic and electrodynamics, the author has erected finite element calculation model of magnetic field and deformation field in electromagnetic forming, and designed a relevant analysis calculation program module, which has been testified by typical forming process. The numerical simulation results are close to the experiment results.On the base of numerical simulation, this thesis has researched the regularity of how process parameters affect the discharge current and deformation, and deduced the optimization calculation formulas of process parameters.
