The electrochemiluminescence (ECL) behavior of luminol in neutral medium was studied in this paper. By the pre-treatment for platinum electrode and the enhancement of Br",the quality ECL signal of luminol was obtained in the 0.3mol/L KBr - boric acid buffer (Na2B4O7-I-r,BO3,pHr=7.09) that was excited by the positive rectangular pulse with the amplitude of 0.75V(vs. Ag). The linear concentration range of luminol relative to the cubicrote of luminous intensity is from 2.010-8 to 3.6 10-5 mol/L with the detection limit for8.010-9mol/L.The enhancement of dissolved oxygen for ECL behavior of luminol in neutral aqueous solution was also studied in this paper. It was obviously revealed that the electricity parameters and some other factors made influence on the enhancement of dissolved oxygen for ECL of luminol. With a pretreated electrode,in 0.15mol/L KNO,- boric acid buffer (pH=7),the optimal enhanced ECL signal of luminol was obtained, excited by the positive rectangular pulse with the amplitude from -0.4 V to 0.9V (vs. Ag). The linear response rang is from 0 to 16 mg/L and the relative standard deviation is 0.4%.
