Pillared interlayered clays (PILC) are two-dimensional,zeolite-like microporous materials. Due to their adjustable porosity and catalysis active sites, they are very attractive solids for petroleum chemical industry and environmental protection. In the paper, we first research the influence of process conditions to PILC in adsorption of PC>43~. In traditional hydrothermal ion exchange preparating method with Na-montmorillonite as parent clay and aluminum polyorycations as pillaring species, with orthogonal experiments, the optimum conditions in preparation of Na-PILC were obtained. Based on these, the PILC was successfully straightly synthesized with Ca- montmorillonite and optimum conditions were obtained. In the second part of the paper, the dynamics model of ion exchange had been built. When particle size <150mesh,agitate speed> 300r/min, the kinetics can be represented by Barrer model. When average particle size=26.34 u m, E=1.13X 104J/Kg, D0= 1.17X10" 12m2/s .For the shortage in traditional preparating methods, microwave-heating technology was utilized in PILC synthesis. The time consumed was largely decreased from 7 hours to 20 minutes.
