In the thermal power plant, it is a common kind of phenomenon that the equipments of heating power are corroded by oxygen. It would happen during the heating power equipments' installation, running and stoppage in transit, which influences equipment' service life. And when corroded products are brought into heating power system, it will accumulate the salt, form the dirt in the system, which will lead to the fact that thermal efficiency drops. So, to guarantee boiler safe and economical operation, it is very important to deal with boiler feedwater with process of de-oxygening. Herein, various chemical de-oxygening reagents and methods of de-oxygening used extensively at present in our country are introduced, and their each pluses and minuses are pointed out in the text.Carbohydrazide is a kind of good de-oxygening reagent. It has strong reducing nature, small toxicity , stronger metal passivation performance , excellent water dissolving performance and its splitting decomposition products are harmless. It aslo couldn' t lead to accumulating of inorganic salts organic acids and corrosion etc. to steam and condensation system of boilers. The product is synthesized by using dimethyl carbonate hydrazinolysis-synthesis method . The optimum condition of synthesizing carbohydrazide in the laboratory is determinated through experimental study and its conversion and yield are analysed . The purity analysis is made by using spectronetric method and its de-oxygening result is tested by using two-bottle method principle. It comes to a conclusion that compared with hydrazine, dimethyl ketoxime and formaldehyde oxime, the de-oxygening result of carbohydrazide is relatively more ideal under different reaction time, reagent quantity added, pH value and temperature. The important function of carbohydrazide among industry, especially among the national defense industry, is treated of at the end of the text.
