| This paper reviews the operations on the gently-inclined-seams divisional mining technology in large surface coal mine. An example of An Tai Bao Surface Coal Mine( ATB) is described in detail. Some new points and ideas are presented concerning the creation of computer-based orebody model, mine planning and the comprasion and selection of the schemes. In addition, the paper gives a detailed study and analysis to the instance of ATB. Finnally, a reasonable and cost-effective dividing scheme is decided and designed.
