This paper deals with the component design of copper alloy using computer aided amount metallurgy. On the base of acquiring a certain amount of properties data and component data of the copper alloy, we adopt plural linear regression analysis, give full consideration of the interaction between elements, and get two satisfactory mathematic model, model of worn weight loss with component and model of impact tenacity with component. According to the model we get, optimal design of alloy was carried out using the convenient complex method, and get the optimal copper alloy suitable for dry friction, which can make sure of minimum worn weight loss under some extent impact tenacity. Through the experiment checkup, the calculated values of properties of the optimal design alloy are approximate to the test values. And this optimum alloy ensures its structure is hard phase with soft particle well distributed in it, which agree to the structure requirement of wear resistant alloy very much. Employing optimal design in the engineering alloy design may solve the complicated engineering alloy design of multiple factors and multiple technical index requirements. Alloy design using computer aided amount metallurgy can make alloy design quantitatively and optimally, which has certain theoretical and avail importance. This paper also study the wear resistance of the optimal alloy, the result suggest that hard phase particle, friction reduce phase and the fined structure contribute to the wear resistance of the copper alloy greatly.
