AbstractIn this paper, waste Foamed Polystyrene recycled by limonene, which is extracted from citrus peel oil, was researched. And limonene extracted from the ear of Schizonepeta tenuifolia (Benth.) briq. was also studied. The relative conditions of limonene dissolving Foamed Polystyrene and the methods of recycling Foamed Polystyrene by limonene was discussed. Serials of useful materials was extracted from citrus oil, they are essential oil, coloring matter, hesperidin, pectin and cellulose powder. The continuous process conditions of extracting the five materials were designed. In the end, the five materials is purified and identified.Degree of solution viscosity arranged with temperature and concentration arranging. The advantage and disadvantage of the five recycling methods, direct heating, direct aqueous vapor, indirect aqueous vapor, reduced pressure distillation, precipitation method, is discussed. By means of orthogonal test, the optimum technological condition of the precipitation method is found.
