Tertiary-butylamine (TBA) could be synthesized by many methods. In all these methods, catalytic synthesis of TBA from methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE) and NH3. was a good method, while from isobutylene(IBE) and NH3 was better.A good molar yield of TBA could be obtained from MTBE and NH3 at 0.90MPa by using catalysts: Co-Al2O3(A) and H-ZSM-5 (B). The optimized conditions were: feed molar ratio of MTBE to NHa was 1:4 (mol: mol), temperature was 190癈(A)/300癈(B), pressure was 0.90MPa, and space velocity was l.l0h-1(A)/0.9h-1 (B). It was also indicated that catalyst B was better than catalyst A. Using catalysts B, the higher molar yield of TBA was 14.8%.The improvement of reactor was very important hi the process of synthesis of TBA from IBE and NH3. Circular tubular reactor was made in order to break the thermodynamic equilibrium. Furthermore, circular tubular reactor with rectifier was made for higher molar yield of TBA. These reactors hadn't be used for synthesis of TBA before.In the same time, the catalysts were selected and modified. It was proved that the catalyst (C) was the best among the five catalysts including (Co)-H-ZSM-S (A), Co-H-Y(B), (FeCr)(C), H-ZSM-5 (D) and Cu,Ni,Zn/H-ZSM-5 (E).At last, the optimized conditions were obtained by the best catalyst and the better reactor, they were: feed molar ratio of IBE to NHa was 1:0.3 (mol:mol), reactor temperature was 220 癈, still temperature was 140癈, reaction time was 8h. The highest molar yield of TBA was 40.2%, it is higher than all yields of TBA from all references.TBA was very important hi synthesizing of rubber accelerator, medicine, pesticide, dye stain, lubricating oil additive, and so on. The application of improvement of reactor in research was very useful. The work in this dissertation was meaningful both in theoretical research and practical application.
