There are lots of ETHYL FORMATE(MEAC) and METHANOL(MEOH) in the waste alcoholysis liquid.Recycle from it can reduce the cost with great effiency.Ih our work,a new flow of technics was set up.Compare with the old flow,the new one have many merits,for example,the investment is much less and the consumed accounts is very low.The hot duty can be saved 37.59%.At the same time,the VLE models of extractive distillation process(EDP) for separating MEAC and MEOH were set up by using NRTL equation.The analog compution to the EDP by computer was also done.A method combing Relaxation with Newton-Raphson method was used to simulate the system.And that a viewpoint of "inner emendation" was introduced into the new arithmetic,as follows: a.the arithmetic takes into account the influences of temperature and the flux of vapor phase and the compositions of liquid phase. b.The ME equation is educed by unsteadily material equilibrium calculation.The arithmetic not only utilized the virtue that relaxation method is steady,but also utilized the fast convergence of Newton-Raphson.Thereby it is suitable for the system that unideal properties are strong.By analog compution of the old flow,the calculative result was campared with the industrial data.We can draw a conclusion that the model of NRTL is fit for equilibrium calculation of the MEAC-MEOH-WATER system.By analog compution of the new flow,we reviewed the main influencial factors of affecting extractive distillation process,such as theoretical plates,feedboard,solvent ratio,eflux ratio,extractant temperature and so on.The optimum term is suggested that the theoretical plates is 30;the feedboard is 10,the solvent ratio is 0.86,the reflux ratio is 0.19,the extractant temperature is 15 C.To make futher test for the model a device of VLE was set up and adjusted for the study of the VLE of MEAC-MEOH-WATER system.The experimental results are consistent with the calculation values.The obtained results were very important and can be used as the theoretical and practical basis for industry apparatus.For proving the new flow,we have done an industrial expriment in plant.The column diameter is 2200mm,and it has 50 plates.lt was shown that the experimental results are consistent with the calculation value.The hot duty can be saved 37.59%,and the cool duty can be saved 41.23%.
