Wool scouring effluent is the grave polluted sources of textile industry, with COD concentration high to 10000-50000mg/L. Water rate of wool scouring is about 38-40:1. 250 thousand tons of wool is washed every year in our country, with 85 percent of it's effluent discharged without compositive treatment.There have been some reported materials on effluent treating. The core means of effluent treating conclude: concretion, air-floating, membrane filtration, biochemical treatment etc. The assistant means such as absorption and filtration are usually used as deepen treatment. At present time, most treating technics of wool scouring effluent is of high expense and low security but bioflocculation. Microbial flocculants is bio-active, low-expense and easy-biodegraded, without second pollution, so it has wide exploitation foreground.The second wool washing factory of Tianjin is the biggest mill processing imported wool in north. It has built a centrifugal lanolin extracting workshop and a wastewater treating system which is made up of flocculation, air floating, anaerobic bank and oxidation. This kind of treating system is mostly representative nowadays in wool scouring effluent treating, but which imposes great reagent expense on the factory and Aluminium salt and PAM used in which are harmful to human life, and exert a bad influence on the subsequent biochemical treatment.Our study team decided to substitute concretion air floating with bioflocculation, and design more rational subsequent treating technics flow. In this paper the consecutive pilot plant experiment on bioflocculation was done on the basis of intermittent experiment. And the subsequent treatment is studied in order to deoxygenate the former effluent and reduce COD, chromaticity concentration by cinder absorption-filtration. At last BMP test was also studied to review the feasibility of sequence anaerobic treatment.The results show that bioflocculation has advantages of expense and security on original part, and lanolin could be reclaimed expediently. The study demonstrated that COD concentration of original effluent treated by the flow of bioflocculation, cinder absorption-filtration, anaerobic bank could be reduced from 10000mg/L to 500mg/L, which has come up to the standard on wastewater discharging.
