Since ICP-AES has been widely applied, normal ICP can not adequate for trace element analysis. Recently, axially viewed ICP has appeared. Axially viewed ICP has been widely applied in trace element analysis because of excellent analytical performance. But in analysis, the matrix elements may interfere the determination of trace elements. So the matrix effects in axially viewed ICP are moreimportant, m .this thesis, matrix effects and interference correction in axially viewed ICP have been researched.Researches of matrix effects in ICP are mainly for EEE,acid and organic solvents,but are little for other elements. Ca and Mg matrix effects in axially viewed ICP were researched including intensity,interference coefficient and work parameter. Most of spectral lines were suppressed. The intensisties of high energy potential lines were depressed to a greater extent. Interferences were reduced with power increased. Optimzing the carrier gas flow rate can also reduce the interference effects. Under the condition, ICP can reach to a robust state.Ca and Mg matrix effects in axially viewed ICP were compared for a wide range of spectral lines. Interference effects in axially viewed ICP were larger than those in radially viewed ICP. Interference correction of Ca and Mg matrix were also been researched.The correction method of parent matching has been used. Trace elements in milk power had been determined , got satisfiedresults.The accuracy and precise of the method can reach to the demand of trace element analysis.Multicomponent spectral fitting(MSF) is an important method of interference correction. It is little used for analysis of biological samples because of the complicated matrix, In this thesis, MSF method is used to correct the complicated matrix interference. Trace element in pork liver had been determinated using this method, got satisfied results. The detection limts of Pb and Mo were 5.02@g/1, 2.32@ g/1. The recoveries of Pb and Mo were 97.2%, 92.1%. The relativestandard deviations of Pb and Mo were 1.22% , 1.35%.
