Simulation Of Municipal Wastewater Activated Sludge Process

Based on the Activated Sludge Model No.l and Takacs Settling Velocity Model, an activated sludge process model was constructed with the reactor principle. On the operation system Windows XP, applying the computer language VB6.0, the simulation software was developed and adjusted by COST Simulation Benchmark. At last the software was used to design the municipal wastewater treatment plant which would be constructed.The Bioreactor and settling tank are important element of activated sludge process. So it is important to construct the react model and settling model. In this paper, combining the two models organically, then choosing correct algorithm and compiling computer program to gain the parameters of the process.The software shows influent characteristics, model parameters, data input and output by user's interfaces. Compiling the computer code to link the parameters of the interfaces. Supplying the support and setup documents for promulgated freely.At last the software was used to design the municipal wastewater treatment plant. Illustrating how to use the software; to choose the parameters by analyzing effect of the parameters and fluctuant flow to the effluent.
