Plasma chemistry emerges as the times require along with the present age technology, by way of a subject crossed forward border investigation realm, since arisen brief several decade, have carved out a series of new technique and new craftwork in chemosynthesis, new material developing, fine chemical engineering synthesize, surface disposal and developing greatly chemic investigation content. But it recently start that plasma induced degradation of organic toxicant of wastewater. We investigate dynamic behaviors and intermediate products of the degradation of aniline and benzidine in aqueous solution, and providing a effective approach of degradation of aromatic arriine in waste water.Generally, aromatic amine belongs to toxic substances and it can cause cancer, malformation, nephritis and other diseases. It is one of the major pollutants in water. There are many incidents of toxication by aromatic amine. The investigation showed that more free radials of oxygen would result in less SOD and more MDA in blood, which will damage our health. Therefore, the degradation of aromatic amine is very important. We note in particular the recent investigation with electrochemical oxidation for the degradation of aniline as well as with radiation decomposition, electrochemical catalytic, activated carbon-H2O2 catalytic oxidation, and with supercritical water for the oxidation of aniline. But there are only few reports of degradation of aniline by plasma with CODE.This paper includes five chapters:The chapter 1 provides the principle in degradation of the organic pollutant substances and the foreground in degradation of the aromatic amine by plasma. In chapter 2, the degradation of aniline by plasma with contact glow discharge electrolysis was carriried out, and the influence of the initial concentration, emperature, pH and different mediums of aniline on the reaction kinetic was investigated. In chapter 3, some of the intermediate products of the degradation process in the solution were detected by HPLC and the reaction path in degradation process was explained. In chapter 4, the reaction of benzidine in water induced by the plasma was investigated. The experiment showed that the concentration of medium and the value of pH had anappreciable effect on the degradation of benzidine. Some of the intermediate products of the degradation process in the solution were detected by HPLC.In chapter 5, the suitable separated conditions of degradation process was investigated. Some of the intermediate products were detected by HPLC and the reaction path in degradation process was explained.
