Experiments for TiO2 recovery from the waste water of flue gas scrubber process were carried out by using ceramic membrane filter. This new technology is important both for environmental pollution control for the TiO2 production and ceramic membrane supplication.Based on intensively retrieving mass of published articles, theoretics analysis and experiments results , filtration technics and transfer model for the system were provided. Under the condition of backflushing with pressured air, factors on the flux of membrane such as flue charactics, membrane particle size ,operating pressure, membrane pollution control and membrane renew were investicated, which sets base for the technical application on industry in the future . Conclusions as bellows were obtained:. The results show that over 99% TiO2 can be effectively recoveried by using of Ceromic membrane. . Membrane transfer model based on cut-inducement mechanism can be used in this system, if it was modified . It's effective to control membrane pollution with pressured air backflushing and chemical cleanout.Effective operating parameters were gainedas below: Temperature: 65℃(the average temperature of the flue), TiO2 Concentration: 0.98g/L(the average TiO2 Concentration of the flue), pH: 2.0 (pH of the flue), operating pressure: 0.45MPa, membrane particle size: 0.8 um, backflushing pressure: 0.45MPa, backflushing intervals: 15min, backflushing time:2.5s, Chemical clearing: 50% H2SO4 and saturation KHCO3, which promote the industrialization of this recovering process.
