In this paper, the definition, microstructure, preparation and properties of microemulsion have been reported in detail, as well as its application to analytical chemistry in the world. The following both the theoretical and application experiments have been studied.1. The applications of microemulsions in analytical chemistryAll of properties of microemulsions have been described in the chapter two, at the some time, we have compared properties of microemulsions with properties of micellar solutions. Similarities and differences between microemulsions and micellar solutions have been summed up in the table 2.1-1. We have discussed the feasibility that microemulsions have been introduced into gasoline spectrophotometry, turbidimetry and fluorometric analysis. We have also been discussed enhancement effects of stability and sensibility in microemulsion media.2. Application research of microemulsions in gasoline determinationThe developing reactions of fluorone reagentsPAN,PAR with different substituents and metallics (Zn2+,Mn2+,Pb2+, Cu2+) have also been researched in the presence of microemulsion media. It is have been known that PAN and its complex can be solved in alkali, alcohol, ethyl ether, trichlorometionhane etcal, could not be solved in water.so it is difficult to determite metallics in water media.Analysists have made many studies in surfacee active agent media . It has been made to determite metallics in water media in the presence of surface active agent. It is clear that microemulsion media have more excellent solubilization and sensitization than micelle and water media. In the microemulsion media, consurfactants (straight chain alcohol), which locate on the surface of micelle, can effectively improve polarity of micelle surface and increase adsorption amounts of developer; oils (alkane), which lie in the kernel of micelle, can directly expand the bulk, surface and barrier space of micelle. Hence, developer will be easily caught at the places of surface and barrier of micelle. The following two systerm in the presence of microemulsions have been presented: (1) The application research of determination of metallics in the OP / n-butanol / n-heptane / water oil in water type microemulsion medium by barium sulfate turbidimetry. (2) The application research of determination of copper in the Triton X-100 / n-butanol / n-heptane / water oil in water type microemulsion medium by reinecke salt turbidimetry. Analytical methods and determination conditions of some metal ions in gasoline samples have been studied in different microemulsions. In this chapter, microemulsions have been introduced into spectrophotometry based upon that we have discussed enhancement effects of solubilized and stabilized reactions in microemulsion media. Analytical methods were suitable for the determination of zincnaphthenate, manganese naphthenate, lead naphthaenate and copper naphthenate in gasoline samples. Results obtained by this spectrophotometry were better than common spectrophotometry.3. Application research of microemulsions in turbidimetryAt the beginning of this chapter, we have discussed the enhancement effect of stability in microemulsion media. The one turbidimetry in the presence of nonionic microemulsions have been presented based upon the enhancement effect of stability: The application research of determination of barium ion in the OP / n-butanol / n-heptane / water microemulsion medium by barium sulfate turbidimetry. The absorption spectra, stability ectal have been studied in different microemulsion media and micellar media of OP,Tween-20,Tween-40,Tween-60 and Tween-80. Obviously, microemulsion media provided higher stabilized reactions and allow easier experimental conditions in turbidimetry due to the very low interface tension and higher solubilized amount of precipitate in microemulsions. Results of accuracy and repeatability obtained by this turbidimetry were better than common turbidimetry.4. Application research of microemulsions in fluorometric analysisIn this paper ,The meth...
