In this thesis, the encapsulation related to a physico-chemical process for the production of the microcapsules that contain ammonium nitrate (AN) is discussed. Most important qualities of AN can be greatly improved after encapsulation, such as hygroscopicity, caking. The products were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively, and various factors affecting the products' qualities were discussed. The conclusion was drawn through the above tests that it was feasible to modify AN through encapsulation under some given conditions.
