The aim of the paper is to improve some performances of plantation forestry——poplar such as hardness, dimension stability, flammability, abrasion performance,etc. The paper chose a kind of commingle emulsion by study and compared differentcommingle emulsion by physics and mechanics performance and then madeceramicwood with this commingle emulsion by impregnation method. To improveperformances of the composite material, the paper also study the making process of thecomposite material by checking different influence of factors on WPG of the materialand then confirmed the making process according to the results. This paper alsoresearched the microcosmic states of the composites. Finally, this paper does some teststo the composites and studied the relationship between the performance and WPG ofthe composites. The results show that the performance of composites prepared by thispaper gets comprehensive improvement. Especially, the water resistance of thecomposites is 4 times better than polar and the weight lost resistance is 78% timesbetter than polar. The study also shows that there is a strong relationship between WPGand performance of the composites. The good shape of the deposits of the commingleemulsion is the right reason of the material's good performance. This material couldused as structural material and ecomaterials with good performance and low cost inapplication. The ceramicwood could be expected to have a broad application in China.
