Based on the in-situ conditions of the ore body under Jinyang Road of Kaiyang Phosphate Mine, the relevant technology for retreating the ore body for protecting the road was investigated. Some progress were made in the study both in theory and in practice. The propose to retreat the protecting ore body under the road by cut-and-filling method was proved to be possible. The research fruit is helpful for the change of mining method used in Kaiyang Phosphate before and is significant for the substantial development of the mine.The chief research contents are as follows:1.A review of mine rock mechanics., underground rock pressure and their developing potential was made. It was pointed out that linear and non-linear finite element method combined with computer technology is an effective approach to analyze underground rock pressure.2.The developing tendency of mining methods under water, constructions and roadways was commented. The experiences and methods for pre-estimating the subsidence and deformation of earth surface were analyzed.3.Depending upon fully grasping the geological conditions, computation of the area of ore body for protecting Jinyang Road was conducted. The computation results show that rock movement angles of marble in Kaiyang Phosphate are β=γ= 81°,δ= 57° respectively. Also the protecting district of ore body is between lines w13 and w17, total length is 800m, and the vertical depth is 130m from level 1050m to 1180m.4.The dimension of stope for mining the ore body under the Jinyang Road was conducted and the widest dimension of stope is 4.65~8.80m.5.It was concluded that the optimum mining method is the cut-and-filling for retreating the ore body under the road. Accordingly, the mining techniques and back-filling were designed. This project can be referred for the similar situation.
