With the rapid development of industry, the pollution of raw water becomes worse and worse. Traditional process of raw water treatment has not met the need of micro-polluted raw water treatment. More attention has been paid to the development of advanced purification process of raw water treatment.The concentration of dissolved organic pollutants, NHa-N compounds, total dissolved solid(TDS) are 3.00-10.00mg/L,3.00-9.00mg/L and 1300-1600mg/L,respectively,in raw water of LUSHUN water plant,which is a kind of water resource in the coastal area.All these concentrations exceed the corresponding ones limited by the sanitary standard for drinking water,which are 3.00mg/L,0.1mg/L(standards in LIAONING province) and1000mg/L,respectively.An advanced purification process of water treatment,which combined membrane filtration at low pressure with Ozone-Biological Activated Carbons (Ozone-BAC) and Electrodialysis Reversal (EDR) desalination,was presented in terms of the characteristics of the raw water.Through a pilot scale test of Ozone-BAC process and a lab scale test of EDR desalination,the optimum experimental designing parameters and operational data corresponding to each process were obtained.Finally,the optimum practical parameters and data were obtained through comparing the optimum experimental ones with the practical ones of the water plant for advanced water treatment.The results showed that CODMn, NH3-N, TDS, turbidity and pH were 1.05mg/L, <0.1mg/L, 420mg/L, <0.3NTU, 6.7-6.8,respectively, in ultimate effluent,all of which were less than those of the sanitary standard for drinking water.The results testified that the combined technology, membrane filtration at low pressure, Ozone-BAC and EDR desalination, was an advanced and effective technology to deeply purify and treat micro-polluted water. In addition, the results also provided some project bases and references for widely treat micro-polluted raw water in coastal area.
