| The subject stems from the project provided by the scientific and technological bureau of Guangxi. The title of the project is "Informational application demonstration project for the manufacturing industry in Guangxi -development of the general platform system for numerical control machine tool with the function of lathing,milling,punching and WEDM (No.0228018)". Numerical control WEDM gains comprehensive appliance in industrial manufacture, accordingly numerical control programming technology also gains rapid development. Overseas WEDM programming systems are very excellent but their price is high ,their operations are complex. It is difficult for middle and small enterprise to buy such system. We have many domestic numerical control WEDM softwares,but they are not perfect. It is necessary to develop the numerical control WEDM programming system that face middle and small enterprises and has independent copyright. This paper develops and researches WEDM programming system, discusses the following several contents:(1) Curve modeling and CAD file exchange: This paper uses Bezier curve technology and DXF file exchange arithmetic. Graphics and NC code accuracy are of difficulty in NC system. This paper provides a new position class and new function of map mode; accuracy of figure and NC code will not be lost.(2) Tool path creation: By study on each adjacency relation between line and arc, this paper can calculate formula of each kind of tool path transition point vector, and can create exact &accurate tool path.(3) NC code creation & simulation: It analyzes instruction formats of 3B and G NC code and produces NC code. It discusses the flow of WEDMsimulation process.Middle and small enterprise's techniques is very easy, and they request the operation of WEDM software is simple and the price of software is cheap. WEDM system that this paper R&D is of application for such enterprises.
