This paper mainly study on alternate exterior entry stability of down-layering in slicing thick seem, and put forward reasonable scheme of alternate exterior entry layout. By using model test of simulated materials and finite element calculation and theory deduce, the alternate exterior entry surrounding rock stability in dynamical pressure area is systemically studied. We understand sector pillar stress distribution in the course of up-layering working face and pillar stress affecting on floor rock strata. According to this result, we make sure the fitness position of alternate exterior entry; by using theory calculation and finite element calculation, we define the width of up and down-layering pillars. According to this result, we conclude outward distance of entry and arrangement scheme. Finally the conclusion is tested and verified by practical examples analyzing.The scheme and theory of alternate exterior entry in this paper fill in blank on this filed research, and development basis theory on entry arrangement ofslicing mine. It can contribute to expansion and apply of alternate exterior entry, and it will create huge social benefit and economic effect.
