In non-aqueous medium, Some complexes of Ag(PPh3)nX (X=Cl,Br, n=2;X=I,n=1,3) and Au(PPh3)nX (X=Cl,Br,n= I; X=I,n=2) were electrosynthesized using NH4X (X=Cl,BrJ) or I2. All of the complexes have been characterized by IR, Raman , SEM and elemental analyses. The effect of material ratio on the complexes Ag(PPh3)nX, solvent on Au(PPhs)nX and voltage on Ef has been studied.The mechanism of electrochemistry reaction of using material (I2) without H+ in non-aqueous solvent has been studied. A satisfactory result was obtained in synthesis that using the material of high reactivity and high valence such as PPh3I*. The research area of material in electrosynthesis has been extended.
